Alexey Grigorev
Alexey Grigorev is the founder of DataTalks.Club, a global online community for data practitioners that started as a forum and grew into a platform offering free, project-based courses across machine learning, data engineering, MLOps, LLMs, and stock analytics. His programs, including Machine Learning Zoomcamp and ML Bookcamp, are built around a simple idea: the best way to learn data science and machine learning is to build and deploy real projects end to end, from notebooks to Flask applications on AWS Lambda and services running on Kubernetes and Kubeflow.
Under Alexey’s leadership, DataTalks.Club has become a hub for community-driven learning. He runs structured events such as live coding sessions, office hours, Book of the Week conversations, and the Open Source Spotlight series, and he hosts the DataTalks.Club podcast, with episodes covering practical topics like data team roles and the CRISP-DM methodology for data science projects. The community’s courses and activities are maintained together with a network of volunteers, mentors, and guest experts.
Alexey stays hands-on as well: he built the DataTalks.Club course platform in Django and continues to experiment with LLMs, RAG, and other emerging techniques, which in turn shape the community’s curriculum and free courses.
