Jessi Ashdown is a Senior User Experience Researcher for Google Cloud. She conducts user studies with customers from all over the world, and the findings and feedback from those studies directly inform and shape Google’s data governance products, from catalogs and classification to policies that balance access with control.

Her work ensures that governance tooling reflects how real teams operate: the roles of data stewards and producers, the workflows for access and automation, and the tradeoffs organizations weigh when scoping a governance program. By grounding product decisions in evidence from user research, Jessi helps make cloud data governance more usable for practitioners everywhere.
