Slawomir Tulski is a Data Engineer with deep experience building and scaling data platforms at one of the most demanding engineering environments in the world. He spent the bulk of his career at Meta, where he moved between individual contributor and manager roles and focused on scaling the data engineering support for the Meta Ads ranking system. Working on ads ranking means operating at massive scale: pipelines that have to be fast, reliable, and cost-efficient, because the business depends directly on them.
Beyond his own team, Slawomir played a significant role in Meta’s global hiring. He conducted hundreds of interviews and helped shape the company’s data engineering recruitment process, giving him a sharp eye for what makes a strong data engineer and what teams actually need as they grow.
Today, Slawomir works as an independent consultant, helping businesses get more out of their data engineering teams. He brings that combination of hands-on platform experience and hiring insight to every engagement, from reviewing architecture to advising on team structure and career development. On the personal side, he is a dad, a husband, and, by his own cheerful admission, a failed bass player.
