Sidharth Ramachandran is a data science leader who builds products where machine learning meets real business value. He currently leads a team of data scientists at GfK, one of the world’s leading analytics firms, where his team creates data products for the consumer goods industry. His career spans more than 10 years across software engineering and data science in the telecom, banking, and marketing industries, an arc that taught him to move comfortably between writing code, shaping strategy, and managing teams.

Sidharth is also a co-author of Blueprints for Text Analytics Using Python, an O’Reilly book that gives practitioners ready-to-use blueprints for natural language processing with Python, covering everything from text classification to named entity recognition and semantic search.

His entrepreneurial side shows in WACAO, a smart personal assistant he co-founded, which ran on WhatsApp and was featured on TechCrunch. Sidharth holds an undergraduate engineering degree from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Kozhikode, a combination that serves him well when turning research ideas into shippable products. Passionate about solving real problems through technology, he still loves hacking on personal projects in his free time.
