Rileen Sinha is an experienced computational biologist with more than a decade of work in cancer genomics. He spent time at the Sander lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), where he worked within the TCGA consortium as part of the integrative genomics team, contributing to one of the largest and most influential efforts to map the genomic basis of cancer.
A defining strength of Rileen’s career is interdisciplinary collaboration. He has extensive experience working alongside wet-lab biologists, physician scientists, and fellow computational biologists, translating between the clinical questions that drive cancer research and the genomic data and algorithms needed to answer them.
His research has focused on evaluating cell lines as tumor models using genomic profiles, work that helps researchers understand how well laboratory models represent the tumors they are meant to study.
