Gustaf Gyllensporre is a Senior AI Engineer whose career path is anything but traditional. He started out as a real estate agent, and his frustrations with the lack of technology in the industry pushed him to build the tools he wished existed. That decision turned a self-driven side project into a full-fledged engineering career, and today he works at the frontier of applied AI, from conversational search to agentic systems.

Before his current role, Gustaf led the development of conversational search for eCommerce at Depict.AI, the company founded by Anton Osika (Lovable) and Oliver Edholm. He is now building the agentic operating system for construction at Brickanta, bringing LLM-powered workflows to one of the world’s largest yet least digitized industries.

Gustaf is also an active open source contributor with more than 100 stars on GitHub, including contributions to CPython and LangGraph. He shared his journey from real estate to AI engineering on the DataTalksClub podcast, offering practical lessons for anyone switching into AI from a non-technical background.
