Andrey Shtylenko is a Director of Engineering at Honeywell, where he leads the Advanced Technology Group within the Safety and Sensing business. His organization develops technologies and solutions based on signal processing, perception, computer vision, and AI and machine learning, serving healthcare, industrial, and logistics market verticals. Over the last five years at Honeywell, he has led the company’s AI practice and built and grown its Advanced Robotics Group, where he led the perception team.

His work centers on the practical realities of industrial AI: moving from pilots to production-ready systems, maturing MLOps practices, and structuring data science teams that scale, from centralized models to hybrid hub-and-spoke approaches. He frequently draws on use cases involving smart sensors, sensorization, cloud processing, and robotics to show how traditional industrial companies can prove value and productionize machine learning.

Andrey’s background combines entrepreneurship with enterprise engineering leadership. He earned a scholarship and multiple degrees in Engineering Management and has been leading both conventional technology teams and advanced research groups for the last decade. Before joining Honeywell, he co-founded several technology businesses, a number of which were later acquired.

Andrey lives with his wife and son in Dallas, TX, where he continues to advance applied AI, computer vision, and robotics at industrial scale.
