Aleksandr Kim

Aleksandr Kim is a Senior Data Scientist at Intuit, based in London, doing what most people outside the company would now call AI engineering: building AI-powered features in production, at scale. The term may be overloaded, but the work is concrete: taking models out of notebooks and turning them into reliable product features that serve real users under real constraints.

His career covers roughly nine years and four industries: banking at Raiffeisen, cybersecurity at Kaspersky, retail at X5 Retail Group, and fintech at Intuit. He started as an analyst, moved quickly into data science, and led two data science teams at X5 before deliberately returning to an individual contributor role at Intuit. Those years on both sides of the management line shaped his view that shipping AI depends on process and people as much as on models.

At Intuit, Aleksandr founded and runs the company’s Data Science Guild, a community of more than 70 data scientists, and he is an inventor on over 15 ML and AI patents. More about his work is available at https://alexkimds.github.io/.
