Tereza Iofciu has done nearly every job a data team has to offer: data science manager, data scientist, data engineer, and product manager. That end-to-end perspective, starting from a PhD in computer science and moving through hands-on analytics and platform work into leadership, is the foundation of her current focus: helping data professionals grow into confident, effective leaders. She leads a coaching team and teaches data science at neuefische in Hamburg, and works as a data leadership coach, guiding new managers through stakeholder skills, team building, and the tricky transition from strong individual contributor to leader of people.
Tereza is a fixture of the Python and data community. She co-organizes PyLadies Hamburg, hosting regular meetups, and serves on the Python Software Foundation’s Code of Conduct and Diversity and Inclusion working groups. Her community service was recognized with the Python Software Foundation 2021 Q1 community service award, and she has since joined the DISC Steering Committee.
Whether she is teaching, coaching, or organizing, Tereza brings the same practical, inclusive approach: clearer job roles, healthier hiring processes, and teams where everyone can do their best work.
