Sara El-Ateif has built a career at the meeting point of research, community, and coaching. She is a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning and a Google PhD Fellow, and her doctoral research focuses on multimodal learning and medical imaging, an area where machine learning can directly improve human health.

As the co-founder of AI Wonder Girls, Sara works to make AI accessible and to support women entering the field. She is a strong believer in the power of open source and volunteering for career growth, and has contributed to volunteer AI projects ranging from a PTSD chatbot to trash detection and cervical spine segmentation.

She is also an Evercoach certified business coach and consultant, helping individuals and teams build the mindsets as well as the technical skills needed to create solutions that matter to their communities and to humanity.
