Ramiro Aznar is an environmental biologist who has built his career in the geospatial data industry. He is a Geospatial Data Engineer Manager at Planet, where he has worked for more than three years, leading geospatial data engineering efforts for a company that maps and monitors the Earth.

Before joining Planet, Ramiro was a Solutions Engineer at CARTO, where he helped customers work with location data and bridged the gap between technical capabilities and real-world use cases.

As an environmental biologist by training, he brings a scientist’s understanding of the natural world to geospatial data problems, connecting an ecological and environmental perspective with modern data engineering practice.
