Patricio Cerda-Mardini is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at MindsDB, the open source company behind in-database predictive machine learning. Since joining MindsDB in 2020, he has become the core maintainer of its in-database predictive ML engine, working at the point where machine learning meets the database so that predictions can run directly alongside the data they rely on.

His research interests include deep learning forecasting and model-agnostic calibration methods, both central to making time series predictions trustworthy in production. His academic degree focused on human-robot interaction and recommendation systems, and he holds several publications in those areas.
