Parul Pandey works as a Data Scientist and Evangelist at H2O.ai, an automated machine learning startup headquartered in California. In her evangelism role she helps practitioners understand and adopt machine learning, turning complex ideas into practical, hands-on material for the data science community.

Her path into data science is a story many find familiar and encouraging. Parul is academically an electrical engineer and previously worked in the field of power distribution at Tata Power in India before transitioning into data. She has shared that journey publicly, including in her talk on career transitioning into data science at the DataTalks.Club global conference.

Parul is also a recognized community leader. She founded the non-profit Women in Coding & Data Science (WiCDS), whose mission is to support and promote women and gender minorities in data science, machine learning, and AI. She is a Kaggle Grandmaster in the notebooks category and was one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Software Development in 2019.
