Merve Noyan is a machine learning engineer with a focus on natural language processing and a strong presence in the open source ML community. She is a Google Developer Expert on Machine Learning and a graduate student in Data Science. She currently works at iamyiam as a Machine Learning Engineer with an NLP focus, applying language technologies to real products.

Merve is an active contributor to the Hugging Face ecosystem, where she has worked on datasets, continuous integration and model reproducibility features, TensorFlow and Keras integrations, and demo apps built with Streamlit and Gradio on Spaces. She regularly teaches developers how to contribute to open source, publish datasets and demos, and build visible NLP portfolios that hiring managers can evaluate, drawing on experience with contribution sprints, Google Summer of Code, and Hacktoberfest.

Beyond her engineering work, Merve streams on Twitch, giving workshops on computer science, statistics, and data science, and she hosts the Inference Podcast, where she interviews professionals working in data science and machine learning.
