Marianna Diachuk is a data scientist at Restream, where she builds machine learning solutions as part of a cross-functional product team. Her career spans both established companies and startups: she previously worked as a data scientist at DataRobot and led a data science team at a fintech startup, an experience that taught her how much a single data scientist can accomplish when projects are prioritized well.

That startup experience is central to how Marianna works and teaches. She advocates a practical playbook for delivering data science impact in constrained settings: interviewing stakeholders in the first week, running research and proofs of concept in the first month, and building data pipelines, deployment practices, methodology, and A/B testing over the first quarter. She emphasizes translating business problems into data science work through proactive outreach and prioritizing projects by feasibility, impact, and stakeholder alignment.

Marianna shares this experience generously. As a Data Science Lead and mentor in the local branch of the Women Who Code community, she helps others grow not just technically but professionally. Outside of work she is passionate about science, traveling, and writing.
