Magdalena Konkiewicz is a Data Evangelist at Toloka, a global data labeling company serving around 2,000 large and small businesses worldwide. In her role she works at the intersection of data quality and machine learning, helping teams understand how well-labeled, well-structured training data underpins every successful AI project, from classic supervised learning to modern NLP systems.

Her path into AI is grounded in strong academics and diverse industry experience. Magdalena holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, and she has worked as an NLP engineer, developer, and data scientist for businesses in both Europe and America. Building natural language processing systems in production taught her the practical lessons that textbooks often skip: how messy real-world text data is, how to evaluate models honestly, and how to ship systems that keep working after launch.

Magdalena is equally committed to sharing what she has learned. She teaches and mentors data scientists at different stages of their careers, and she regularly contributes articles to publications such as Towards Data Science, covering practical machine learning, NLP, and data science skills. Through mentoring and writing, she helps early-career practitioners build the judgment and technical depth that make durable data science careers.
