Leon Wei has built his career at the intersection of machine learning and large-scale business impact. As a senior machine learning manager at Apple, he led teams of world-class AI researchers and engineers who used machine learning to empower Apple’s multi-billion-dollar businesses. Before that, he worked as a research scientist at Amazon, contributing to a pricing engine responsible for setting millions of products’ prices in real time.

Today, Leon is the founder of instamentor.com, a career coaching platform that connects young professionals to tech industry veterans, drawing on his years of leading and hiring AI talent to help the next generation grow their careers in tech.

Leon studied advanced mathematics from the College of William Mary, where he graduated in 2008 with a master’s degree in science. That mathematical foundation continues to inform his approach to machine learning, product strategy, and coaching.
