Ken Youens-Clark

Ken Youens-Clark is a Senior Scientific Programmer at the University of Arizona, where he builds software that supports scientific research. He has been programming for over 20 years and holds an MS in Biosystems Engineering, combining deep computational experience with a strong grounding in the life sciences.

Ken is also a passionate educator and author. His book Tiny Python Projects, published by Manning, teaches Python through short, test-driven exercises, reflecting his conviction that careful, tested code is the foundation of trustworthy science. Through his writing, teaching, and open source work, he helps scientists and students write programs they can rely on.
