Itai is a software engineer at Treeverse, the company behind lakeFS, an open source platform that delivers resilience and manageability to object-storage based data lakes. His work helps data teams manage their data lakes with the same rigor they apply to code, making large-scale data infrastructure easier to depend on.

Previously, Itai worked at Microsoft and Ridge on data infrastructure, tooling, and performance. That experience across both large and small engineering organizations informs how he builds systems that need to be fast, robust, and pleasant to operate.

Itai received his B.S. degree in computer science from Tel Aviv University. Through his work on lakeFS, he contributes to the open source ecosystem that modern data teams rely on for production-grade data infrastructure.
