Faisal Masood is a Consulting Architect at Red Hat, where he focuses on bringing business value through IT and collaboration. His work sits in the space between technology and the organizations that depend on it: helping teams adopt open-source technologies in ways that actually serve their goals rather than the other way around.
Faisal also has a strong interest in machine learning, and in a particular thesis: that ML projects succeed far more often when the discipline of software engineering is applied to them. Version control, testing, reproducibility, and solid architecture matter as much for models as for any other system, and he brings that engineering mindset to the ML work he does.
Currently living in Australia, Faisal has worked across North America, Asia, and Australia, giving him a broad view of how different organizations and cultures approach technology. He shares his writing on the Red Hat Developers blog and his code on GitHub. A father of two girls, he naturally counts unicorns among his favorite creatures.
