Dânia Meira is a data scientist, educator, and recognized speaker in the fields of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil, and her career has carried her from applied math and marketing analytics through teaching roles into hands-on machine learning work.
As a founding member and director of the AI Guild, Dânia helped build a global data science community based in Berlin that supports practitioners at every career stage. Her community work puts diversity front and center: she has grown women’s meetups into an international membership, curated meetup content and the Datalift Summit, and championed practices such as visibility-first speaker invitations and clear codes of conduct. She also contributes to a vendor-agnostic consulting model for machine learning deployment, matching community talent with clients in regulated industries and helping source and train diverse candidates.
Dânia speaks regularly about accelerating the adoption of AI through diversity, building inclusive data communities, and creating psychological safety in technical teams. She is a committed mentor who shows how varied backgrounds strengthen both product decisions and the teams that make them, and her teaching continues to guide data professionals toward sustainable, confident careers.
