Amber Roberts is a Machine Learning Engineer at Arize AI, a company focused on machine learning observability, where she works on helping teams understand, monitor, and improve their models once they reach production. Her day-to-day combines hands-on machine learning engineering with a product sensibility developed across years of working at the boundary of research and applied AI.

Before joining Arize, Amber was a product manager of AI at Splunk, and prior to that she served as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Insight Data Science, where she guided fellows through intensive applied AI projects and their transition into industry roles. This mix of engineering, product, and mentorship experience has made her a clear communicator on how organizations can put machine learning to work responsibly.

Amber’s path into data science runs through the sciences: she holds an MS in Astrophysics from the Universidad de Chile and was a Carnegie Fellow from 2016 to 2017. That research background still shows in how she approaches modeling, experimentation, and measurement today.
