Alexander Hendorf is an independent AI strategy consultant specialising in regulated industries — finance, insurance, and critical infrastructure. Through opotoc GmbH, he advises organisations on building durable AI foundations rather than patchwork implementations.

He is head of PyCon DE & PyData, Europe’s leading conference for applied AI and Open Source, and initiator of Pioneers Hub. A PSF Fellow and EuroPython Fellow, he also serves on the board of the Python Software Verband and founded the AG Open Source within Germany’s KI Bundesverband in 2026.
