Agnieszka Mikołajczyk is a machine learning researcher and deep learning enthusiast preparing her PhD thesis at the Gdansk University of Technology. Her doctoral research is carried out within her grant, Detecting and overcoming bias in data with explainable artificial intelligence, an area that sits at the intersection of data-centric AI, fairness, and interpretability. Alongside her thesis, she conducts applied R&D work at Voicelab.ai, bringing her academic expertise into product-focused research.

Agnieszka is equally committed to the research and open source community. She organizes and actively contributes to scientific initiatives and takes part in numerous open source projects, including detectwaste.ml, a project focused on waste detection in images, and Omdena’s AI for Good collaborations. Through this combination of doctoral research, industry R&D, and community work, she has built deep expertise in computer vision, explainable AI, and bias detection in data.
