Aaron Wishnick is a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon, where he has spent the past seven years. His work has covered some of the company’s most business critical infrastructure, including Amazon’s payment systems and financial intelligence systems, environments where correctness, reliability, and security have to hold up at enormous scale.

He has also worked for AWS on two major cloud services: Athena, the serverless query service that lets teams analyze data directly where it is stored, and AWS Proton, which automates infrastructure provisioning and deployment for container and serverless based applications. That combination has given him an end-to-end view of cloud platforms, from data query engines to the deployment tooling that keeps services running.

Away from the keyboard, Aaron and his fiance, Alyssa, are on a quest to determine just how much dog fur is too much, with their husky and malamute, Mina and Wally.
